ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Director of Sales is responsible for directly managing a team of sales pros to reach company sales goals, growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction for three showrooms. One week per month will be spent out of the showroom for competitive shopping, recruiting new talent, or working from home. Up to 50% of your time will be spent traveling to your non-local locations.

The compensation package for this position includes a competitive salary and generous bonus for meeting sales goals, 401K with a 100% match, paid time off, and an expense account for travel.

What you will achieve:

  • Upholding the values, principles, and goals of ProSource Wholesale, you will have developed a top-notch team of management and sales talent through excellent recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and motivational skills.
  • You will have gained a vast knowledge of industry products by attending training, vendor events, and researching existing and new products in order to meet the needs of our customers with creative solutions.
  • You will have built a strong, supportive partnership with our existing sales and management teams, directing them in their endeavors to strive to reach their sales goals and the goals of the store.
  • You will have learned our business model and assist us in ways to improve this process to better serve the needs of our customers and our staff.
  • You will have developed and monitored benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of sales and prospecting activities, sales productivity, gross margin output, and levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Through the implementation of a coaching and hiring plan, our sales team will average $1+ million each in sales by year 3.
  • By year 5, you will have assisted in maximizing the productivity of our business assets to increase the total annual combined sales of our stores to $25+ million.

Job Requirements

Who you are:

  • You have at least 10 years of combined experience in progressive sales with a minimum 5 years of sales management in which you have demonstrated a mastery of both.
  • You are an experienced and seasoned "hands-on" Sales Leader with an ability to understand and work with different styles of people and discover what motivates them based on their style.
  • You are an idea generator with a business development and big-picture focus.
  • You have the ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a
  • You recognize that long-term success is reliant on staff working together to obtain what is best for all.
  • You are a problem solver with the ability to apply creative solutions to staff and customer needs.
  • You possess strong entrepreneurial skills with the ability to plan, forecast, and execute company strategy based goals, people, and available resources.
  • You have experience in the residential home remodeling channels, working with trade professionals and their end users.
  • You possess strong negotiation, analytical, planning, forecasting, and financial skills.
  • You must have strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite) to be successful in this role.
